Two weeks ago, I was speaking with a new client who was struggling with time management. She was trying to grow her business, network, manage follow-up, create social media content and find time to complete her email newsletter with holiday promotions. Oh, plus she has 3-grade school kids at home. She decided to delegate as time is too precious to waste especially when it comes to these 3 kiddos.
We decided to start small with a 5-hour “Test Drive a VA” package. She wasn’t too sure or comfortable with what to delegate. We met for coffee and conducted an audit of all her to-dos and goals. After two hours of listening, talking, brainstorming and wiping a few tears, a solid plan of action magically showed on paper. We stuck to her budget of 5-hours with the potential of adding more tasks and hours later.
With the holidays upon us your calendar can get a little overwhelming. It may be a good idea to delegate a few tasks such as;
Write and mail your holiday cards
Holiday email marketing promotions and newsletter
When it comes to partnering with a virtual administrative assistant, start small and with set goals in mind. Once you are comfortable, add more tasks so you can do the high-value work that will grow your business and spend time with your family.
